Sleep apnea is defined by repeated judgments of the breathing during sleep. These breathing pauses result most often a blocking air passage through the channels upper airway, it is called apnea “obstructive”.
They are pathological when they last more than 10 seconds.
There are certain machines that I will go over below, but the main one, CPAP has some issues and you may want to check out some other CPAP Alternatives that Work for you.
When the obstruction is complete, it is called apnea, when is partial, it is then hypopneas. Apneas and hypopneas can occur hundreds of times during the night, causing a drop of blood oxygenation. We speak of “apnea syndrome sleep “when these events occur more than 10 times
per hour during sleep.
If the episodes of apnea or hypopneas are many, the sleep is not restful, but looks like a real marathon. The heart works abnormally to mobilize more
all reserves oxygen.
The early start is while difficult, with sensation fatigue from the lift, a excessive sleepiness day, accompanied by difficulties concentration and memory disorders. Untreated, apnea sleep increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
At the time of sleep, the bottom of the muscles of the throat relax, causing subsidence of the walls shrinks leads airway.
The air then passes and hard fact vibrate loose tissues producing snoring. If the obstruction is more important, hypopneas or apneas occur.
The breathing amplitude decreases and results in a drop blood oxygenation. This hypoventilation stimulates the nerve centers of respiration which react by an increased inspiratory effort.
After each apnea or hypopnea, the heart has accelerated its rate and blood pressure increases. Respiratory events are interrupted by arousals (brief awakening not stored) that can take control of breathing.
Fractionate apnea sleep, yet light and can deepen, causing a decrease in deep sleep, the more repairer. This promotes the installation of fatigue and drowsiness daytime tomorrow.
These respiratory abnormalities are sometimes favored by morphology special facial or upper airway.
What can you do about it?
There are certain machines that you can use to reduce sleep apnea symptoms, and more importantly to help you rest easy without worry about any serious complications.
However the usual machines are called CPAP machines and can have some downsides to there usage including price, comfort and a number of other things.
There are a lot of options, but you just need to keep an eye out for what works best for you.
I hope that this post has given you a good overview to whether or not you have it yourself and what to do about it if you do have it.
The main machines are CPAP and BIPAP, with the latter being preferable to the former.
